Lift truck Types and Groupings

As in all walks of life, a lift truck type will often be known by a number of differing names, for example the Counterbalance Lift Truck is often described as a Lift Truck, Stacker, Front End Truck etc.

Eldon Training Services offer a complete range of operator and instructor training & certification courses for all lift truck trucks. The type and grouping (B1, P1 Etc)of the lift trucks is that of the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) as recognised by accrediting bodies and the HSE.

Throughout the website we have tried to identify materials handling equipment by their BITA recognition and local names.

If you are unsure as to a lift truck truck’s grouping, please call our Head Office and we will endeavour to place your truck in the appropriate group.

We ensure that all training is administered to the most cost effective outcome, if you have mixed requirements as regards experience levels etc we optimise the training time to accommodate the best possible outcome.

Given the complex nature of this subject, the variation of machines, the different levels of training available and different operating environments etc, a dedicated brochure is available, please call 01536 517889 to request this or discuss your requirements.
